Ingredients

Base and mix-ins
  • 4 cup cranberry juice cocktail Chilled
  • 2 cup apple cider Chilled
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 0.25 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 liter ginger ale or sparkling water Chilled
  • 1 orange Thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 4 fresh rosemary Sprigs
  • 1 ice

Equipment

  • 1 punch bowl

Method

Mix the punch base
  1. Add cranberry juice cocktail, apple cider, orange juice, and fresh lime juice to a punch bowl, then stir to combine.
  2. Chill the punch until ready to serve, about 20 minutes, so the flavors meld and the drink stays cold (keep it refrigerated).
Add the fruit and herbs
  1. Add thinly sliced orange, fresh cranberries, and rosemary sprigs to the chilled punch bowl for floating color and aroma.
Finish and serve
  1. Just before serving, pour in ginger ale or sparkling water so the drink stays fizzy.
  2. Add ice to the punch bowl and ladle into glasses, leaving plenty of orange slices, cranberries, and rosemary in each serving.

Notes

Pro tip: Keep all liquids chilled and add ginger ale/sparkling water right before serving for the best sparkle. Store covered in the refrigerator up to 2 days, but add the ginger ale/sparkling water only when ready to serve. Freezing isn’t recommended because the citrus and carbonation will suffer. For a lower-sugar option, use a no-sugar-added cranberry juice cocktail and ginger ale or sparkling water sweetened to taste.
