Bake the feta
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the feta in a small baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 10 minutes, until the feta begins to soften. You should see the edges loosen and the center warm through.
Add jam and bake again
- Spread the fig jam over the top. Scatter the pecans, rosemary, and red pepper flakes evenly across the surface.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes more, until the jam is bubbly and the pecans are toasted. Look for active bubbling at the jam edges and a fragrant, golden pecan color.
Finish and serve
- Drizzle the baked feta dip with honey and season with black pepper. The honey should look glossy over the warm jam.
- Serve warm with pita chips or toasted baguette. Pair scoops with creamy centers and jam-topped bites.
Notes
Pro tip: use a small baking dish so the jam bubbles up around the feta instead of spreading thin—this keeps the dip spoonable. Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container up to 3 days; rewarm at 350°F until just heated through. Freezing isn’t recommended because feta can turn crumbly after thawing. For a lighter option, swap honey for date syrup (or reduce honey to 1 tablespoon) to lower added sugar while keeping the same warm-sweet finish.
