Ingredients

Meatballs and sauce
  • 2 lb frozen fully cooked meatballs Frozen is fine—no need to thaw.
  • 18 oz BBQ sauce 1 jar.
  • 1 cup grape jelly For the sweet-tangy gloss.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish Use as needed for topping.

Equipment

  • 1 Dutch oven

Method

Make the sauce in the slow cooker
  1. Whisk BBQ sauce, grape jelly, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder directly in a slow cooker until smooth and combined, with no jelly streaks visible.
  2. Add the frozen fully cooked meatballs and stir to coat evenly so the sauce clings to all sides and no dry spots remain.
Slow cook and finish
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours, or HIGH for about 2 hours, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce looks thickened and bubbly at the edges, stirring once halfway through.
  2. Stir until the sauce turns glossy and coats the meatballs; keep cooking just until fully warmed through and the glaze looks smooth.
Garnish and serve
  1. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, then keep the meatballs on WARM and serve immediately with toothpicks for easy grabbing.

Notes

Pro tip: For the glossiest finish, stir once halfway and again at the end so the sauce reduces and thickens before serving. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days; reheat in the slow cooker or microwave until hot. Freezing is yes—freeze cooled leftovers up to 2 months, then thaw overnight in the fridge and rewarm until steaming. For a lighter option, swap in a lower-sugar BBQ sauce and a reduced-sugar grape jelly to keep the sweet-tang balance with fewer calories.
