Ingredients

Ice cubes
  • 1 Ice cubes Use enough to fill the bowl for cold layers and fizz-holding ice.
Red layer
  • 2 cup cranberry juice Chill well so the colors stay crisp and cold.
White layer
  • 2 cup lemonade or white grape juice Choose one; keep chilled for a clean middle layer.
Blue layer
  • 2 cup blue raspberry lemonade or blue sports drink Choose one; chilled for a vivid top layer.
Fizz
  • 1 L lemon-lime soda Add right before serving so it stays sparkling.
Garnish
  • 1 fresh strawberries and blueberries Use whole berries so they float and look festive.

Equipment

  • 1 punch bowl

Method

Layer the punch
  1. Fill a large clear punch bowl or pitcher with ice.
  2. Pour the cranberry juice over the ice as the base red layer.
  3. Slowly add the lemonade over the back of a ladle to create a white middle layer without mixing.
  4. Gently pour the blue raspberry drink over the ladle to float as the top blue layer.
Finish and serve
  1. Add a splash of lemon-lime soda right before serving for fizz.
  2. Garnish with fresh strawberries and blueberries and serve immediately.

Notes

Pro tip: keep every juice and the bowl well chilled before layering, and pour slowly over a ladle so the streams don’t break the bands. Store any leftover punch covered in the fridge up to 1 day, but add soda only at serving time to maintain sparkle. For a lower-sugar option, use diet lemonade and a zero-sugar blue sports drink (or sparkling water for additional lightness) while keeping the same layering method. Freezing isn’t recommended because the soda and texture won’t hold.
